The Cobra ESD 7000 Laser and Radar Detector is a basic yet competent Cobra Radar Detector. It covers laser speed-monitoring systems, as well as K-Band, Ka-Band, Ka-Superwide Band and X-Band. It also sports VG-2 Alert for the newer Radar Detector Detectors (RDD) that allow the police to tell if there is a Radar Detector in a target vehicle.

In addition, the Cobra 7000 Laser and Radar Detector is effective against the Spectre 1 detector and Laser 360. Bright icons on the face of the unit show the type of radar being detected.
